Year 7, 8 & 9 Girls into Geoscience
Tuesday 30 November 2021, 16:15 – 17:45
Online via Zoom
Our Girls in Geoscience event is back again this year! An opportunity for your Year 7, 8 and 9 female students to discover Geoscience through this free online event. Mini taster video lectures and worksheets will be sent out to students in advance of the online event, to complete in their own time. During the live event the worksheets will be discussed by our academics, along with a virtual fieldtrip and an exciting live experiment that they can follow along at home if they wish. There will also be an optional Q&A with current students at 17:45 which we’d encourage students to stay on for if time allows.
This event is taking place out of school hours so students will need to sign up individually, with their parent/carer permission. They can do this using the online registration form here.
De Montfort University and the National Space Centre:
Are running a STEM Community Fun Day, on campus, on Saturday 11th December 2021. We will host drop-in sessions from 10am-1pm, targeted at young people aged between 10 and 14, and their families.
